Using a sign system with changeable letters is alien to most of us in the UK so another great tip is organising your message first before placing it in the tracks. You would have purchased either our LPM 22 LPM 33 or LPM 15 letter ranges from readerboards and here’s your first tip! LPM 15 delivers 15 letters per metre whilst LPM 22 gives you 22 letters per metre. Measure the length of your letter track when it first arrives and you will be able to quickly work out how many letters your track can receive. For example if your track is 2 metres long and you have LPM 22, your message cant be any longer than 44 characters.

Decide on your message and count off the amount of tiles as you are collecting your replaceable letters before applying them to the PVC track, this will save you loads of time. If it’s too long, think about abbreviations.

Another tip here is to lay out the tiles on a clean surface in 5 columns or less and always leave them there. If you re-collate and lay out every time, you will soon become tired of the operation!
